How early are AD patients diagnosed before they die? Lead Investigator: Sylvester Orimaye Institution : East Tennessee State University E-Mail : orimaye@etsu.edu Proposal ID : 931 Proposal Description: We would like to know how early patients with Alzheimer's disease are been diagnozed before they eventually die of the disease. Outcome variables could be an average number of years from diagnosis to death and the average age at onset/first diagnosis. Other variables could include age, gender, psychometric scores such as MMSE, and other available demographic information. We will be doing a secondary data analysis on the UDS data and probably triangulate with interviews or questionnaires from experts on Alzheimer's disease.
